UTAL Ltd. was founded in December 1991, and is located 10 km east from the center of Poznan. Since the beginning of its activity the management's goals have been development, modernity and high quality of the offered products and services. During the first period the production was limited to blank number plates stretching to the whole range of license plate business a few years later. At present UTAL is the largest company in the number plates production industry in Poland and one of the biggest enterprises in this branch in Europe.

UTAL is the first company in Poland that has introduced the most modern, ecological and durable technology for number plates production - hot stamping. This has ensured the company a leading position among Polish number plates manufacturers. UTAL has a large production capacity as well as human and technological potential enabling it to produce all types of reflective number plates with the use of modern forgery protection technologies. UTAL provides with number plates and machinery both domestic and export markets. Thanks to co-operation with the aluminium works in KONIN, Polish aluminum strip is used for the production of number plates.
Since 1996, UTAL has the German certificate DIN for production of number plates. In year 2000 the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System was implemented. The machines produced by UTAL comply with European Union directives and are marked CE. UTAL has been awarded many prizes for innovation, high quality and reliability.
